This policy explains what data Robot Voice Bridge handles, and how.

Silver Shadow Sound LLC ("we", "us", "our") publishes Robot Voice Bridge. This policy covers the app and this website. Our approach is to collect as little as possible and to keep sensitive credentials on your own device.

Information we handle

Account and licensing

When you start a trial or subscribe, we receive your email address and a license record so we can activate the app and provide support. When you activate the app on a Mac, the app also sends us a small activation record: a random installation identifier, a one-way hash derived from your Mac's hardware identifier (it identifies this installation on later license checks and tells us which Mac currently holds your license; it cannot be reversed to identify your hardware), the name your Mac reports for itself in macOS, the app version, and the dates we first and last saw that device. The device name helps us and you tell activated Macs apart in support conversations; if your Mac's name contains anything you would rather not share, rename it in System Settings under General, then About, before you activate. Subscription and payment processing is handled by FastSpring (see below); we do not see or store your full payment card details. If you use the license key recovery form on this website, the email address you enter is sent to our license service and matched against our records. Any keys on file are emailed to that address through Resend and are never shown in the browser. We keep a record of that delivery (recipient, time, and whether it was sent) for support purposes.

Your ElevenLabs account and content

Robot Voice Bridge connects to your own ElevenLabs account. Your ElevenLabs API key is stored locally in the macOS Keychain on your device. It is not transmitted to us and we never have access to it. Audio generation happens directly between the app on your Mac and ElevenLabs.

When you generate a line, the app sends the relevant content from your Mac directly to ElevenLabs: the text of that line, usually the text of the preceding line (so deliveries flow naturally from one line to the next), your selected voice, model, and generation settings, and any pronunciation rules you have created, including the dictionary's name and description. If you record voice direction for a line, that recording is uploaded to ElevenLabs as part of speech-to-speech generation. ElevenLabs processes and retains this content under its own privacy policy and terms; treat anything you generate through the app as shared with ElevenLabs.

Diagnostic and crash data

To find and fix bugs, the app uses Sentry to report crashes and errors. These reports include technical information such as your macOS version, app version, device model, and the state of the app at the time of an error, together with a random installation identifier the crash reporter stores on your Mac so repeated errors can be grouped. Crash reports do not include your scripts, your audio, or your ElevenLabs API key, and we do not attach your name or email address to them. They are not sold.

Website usage

This website is hosted on Cloudflare. We advertise on Google, and every page of this site carries a Google Ads tag so we can see which ads lead to a free trial download or a subscription. It sets cookies in your browser to connect your visit to the ad you clicked. We have turned off the feature that would send Google customer email addresses, so Google receives no name or email from us, and we do not sell visitor data. If you subscribe, FastSpring's checkout also reports the completed purchase to Google Ads so the sale can be matched to the ad that brought you here. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages people read, what device and browser they are on, and which sites and searches they arrived from. It records the visit, not your name or email address. The demo video on our homepage is hosted by YouTube and loads only if you choose to play it; at that point YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and browser information under its own privacy policy.

How we use information

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the business. Each handles only what it needs to:

Data retention

We keep account and licensing data (your email address, license records, the activation records for your Macs, and records of the emails we send you) for as long as your subscription is active and as needed afterwards for legal, accounting, and support purposes. Copies of the purchase notifications we receive from FastSpring are kept in full for 90 days and reduced to a fingerprint and processing status after that. Notifications that fail verification are deleted after 30 days, and any that fail to process are kept until we have reviewed them. Crash and diagnostic data in Sentry is retained for 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected] and we will respond as required by applicable law. For payment-related data held by FastSpring, requests can also be directed to FastSpring through its privacy policy.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including keeping your ElevenLabs key on your own device rather than on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Robot Voice Bridge is intended for professional and adult users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
